Computers aren't intelligent! Take this example, a Computer, alone in a room suddenly turned on for the first time. What does it do? Nothing.
An adult human being, alone in a room, suddenly wakes up for the first time. What does he/she do? Tries to figure it out.
Computers are nothing but on and off switches, increasingly complex, but not as complex as the human mind. Computers will never be intelligent, conscious, or even in the least bit able to think. Why? Two reasons, one I doubt human beings ourselves will evere be able to understand the complexities of the human mind, two humans will never have the need for a thinking computer as human beings already think, well some of them anyway.
Don't misunderstand, I will praise the day I get proven wrong, I enjoy the idea of an intelligent machine, but it wil not happen. The closest that will occur is a computr designed to appear as if it is thinking, but will it really?
