In the year 1200, there was a city in England. It was the epitomy of kingdomes, a king, queen, knights, workers, etc. However, a peon wanted to marry the kings daughter, and the daughter wished to do the same. The king forbid it, but he wanted to look as if he was an honest and loving king. He said (in front of his subjects) "You must come to the hall in three hours, you will pick a piece of paper out of a hat. They are identical pieces of paper, one says EXILE on it, the other says MARRIAGE. The onr you pick shall be your fate, oh, and one more thing, if you decide not to show up, you will never see my daughter again!
Well the man agreed to his request, and was walking in the castle when he heard the king tell his wife, "I will not allow this! I am just going to put EXILE on both pieces of paper that way he is sure to leave!" The peon was upset, but had an idea to marry the daughter...
What does he do?

He picks a paper as was agreed upon, but he eats it. He then just explains to the king that it is alright just show the other paper and obviously the one I ate was the opposite, "As you truly are an honest and just Lord." The king, duty bound by his word will then read the other paper and be forced to give his daughter in marriage...
...either that or he will be extremely angered at his loss and sentence the peon to death.
I happened to hear all three before.

| ok, i think i kno the answer to this one... the peon brings his own hat with two identicle pieces of paper that both say "MARRIAGE" on them and he switches his hat with the kings hat and when he chooses a piece of paper it will say "MARRIAGE" on it and he will marry the kings daugther!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol, its probably not right but its the only thing that makes clear since to me right now
