Can anyone please help me figure these two riddles out?

Many things can create one, it can be of any shape or size, it is created for various reasons, and it can shrink or grow with time. What is it?

They have not flesh, nor feathers, nor scales, nor bone. Yet they have fingers and thumbs of their own. What are they?

any shape or size and many things can create one? Shocked

i have two guesses. the first is mass. the second is energy.
i know these are general answers but they are the only things i can imagine being any size. im pretty sure energy is a better answer because people may consider something to just be energy if it gets to be small enough (electrons). maybe u didnt really mean [i]any[/i] size. that riddle is a bit suspect. did u make it yourself? im not so sure energy can be created as much as changed or manipulated either.

Hmm Im not to good at answering riddles and energy is a real good answer for the first riddle but I was thinking it could be a baby as well in its own sence. But I dont think a baby can shrienk with time. Onnly grow older and become hunched. But it can grow with time, and is made for various reasons and humans and animals of all kinds can make one. Soooo well that could be another answer heh

the answer to number one must be shadow

and number 2 is obviously a glove.

technically, when water evaporates, it EXPANDS, but when it freezes, it is the only liquid that CONTRACTS, so it could be water, but it doesn't shrink, grow with time, it does that with temperature, so i say hole.

Ya I think it is a shadow cuz many things can create one shadow and they do grow and shrink in time like where the sun is and theyre created for various reasons like sun or lamp, etc.

shadows do not have a reason to be created. and are only created with two things, an object and light. i won't lie, it was my first thought too. groups are crowds fit all the criteria. and gloves are totally the second one.
