sorry if this riddle was mentioned before... it's a pretty easy one



A detective arrives at a crime scene. It is an old wooden barn that is COMPLETELY EMPTY, with no haystacks, no windows, no furniture, no animals of any sort, aboslutley nothing but a man that hung himself from the center of the barn with a typical rope. The detective notices a pool of water directly underneath where the man was hanging.


How did the man die?
