| A 20 ft. rope is attached to a ship with knots tied in the rope 1 ft. apart. When the boat enters the locks the water begins rising at 1 ft. per 30 seconds. How long will it take to cover the rope?

Ships float... so it wont make any difference. whether the water rises or not.

the water will never cover the rope because the ship rises with the water
