Have fun with these.

1: I can run but not walk. Wherever I go, thought follows close behind. What am I?

2: I am the black child of a white father, a wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven. I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me, even though there is no cause for grief, and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air. What am I?

3: If you break me,
I do not stop working.
If you touch me,
I may be snared.
If you lose me,
Nothing will matter.
What am I?

4: How can you take 1 from 19 and leave 20?

5: What is it that, after you take away the whole, some still remains?

6: You can have me but cannot hold me;
Gain me and quickly lose me.
If treated with care I can be great,
And if betrayed I will break.
What am I?

4 - Well... my guess is 19 really likes 1 so when you take it he just follows you leaving 20 behind. That or you just take one form 19 then leave 20 behind simply as the question asks.. lol.

Could the second one be onion fumes?? Seems like it would fit to me.

Well, actually I got these riddles from another site, sooo... But I'm guessing that by "snare" they mean "capture". Like, when you capture somebody's heart. Or something like that.

i was thinking onion fumes as well but i knew it was wrong cuz onions are white and it says a black child. so im assuming that the fumes are black. which with that extra tidbit of info i would go with like gasoline fumes/car exhaust.

But "fumes" is close enough, really. The answer is "smoke", so. Fumes, smoke... It's all the same. XP

eyes...or the heart. Actually I don't know how either of those can run. But thought does follow close behind them...except for the heart. So its probably eyes.

if you have minus 19 and you take 1 its -20 but you could be pedantic and say that doesnt leave 20 it leaves minus 20 but then i would simply say STFU GTFO Smile
