First, um... I think we already did, no foolin. In the U.S. even. It's called a pringles can! Or one of those lays rip offs....
Second, why? How important is this in the terms of human knowledge or history? This is really a temporary inconvenience having stale chips. Does having stale chips really cause anyone to have alower quality of life? Stop thinking about such minor problems and think of the people who would gladly eat stale chips to keep themselves alive!
Third, chip companies would lose a few dollars a year because of those customers who can't stand stale chips choose to buy new bags, so take it from the company's standpoint, hmm... customer satifaction? More money... Customers? money... Money will always win. If you want a bag that's resealable then either make one yourself ad sell it, or convince companies that they will make more money by selling a resealable package.
Fourth, if all else fails, tape makes an airtight seal. [/i]
