Many people believe in aliens, and it's amazing how many people swear they had an encounter.
I have not seen an alien while i was awake, but I assume that they are very real... two reasons.
1) Of the tens/hundreds of thousands, or maybe millions of people who claim to be eyewitnesses to aliens, only one of them has to be right!
2) The milkyway itself has 200 billion stars which i imagine means some trillion + planets and the milky way is just one of hundreds of billions of galaxies! And, considering that every inch of our planet is covered in life and I just have to assume there's more life out there somewhere.
Thoughts? links?

Well with the immense size of the universe it is probable, except we need to realize how immensly rare life is. The Universe is a vast, vast, incredibly, so mind-bogglingly huge desert and Earth is an oasis in that desert. The chances of another planet like Earth are incredibly slim; life is so fragile that if the slightest aspect of Earth changed it may die out in a few thousand years.
Seems like a long time but in the vast scape of the universe it's really more like a fleeting second. So if alien life does exist, chances are it will completely different from our own type of life, possibly not even considered as life by our standards, also as we only know of one intelligent species (out of the billions of forms of life) on the planet Earth chances are that extraterrestial life will not be intelligent, at least most of it. While the possibility exists, I find it extremely unlikely that we will ever find extraterrestial life.
In fact, I would go as far to say that it is more likely that all ufo sightings are from time traveling humans from the future than from life off of the planet.
Also, human being can have a very vivid and completely false imagination based on ignorace, I mean, we used to think that the Sun revolved around the Earth and that a solar eclipse was a monstrous creature eating the sun!
When it all comes down, we're just a bunch of idiots makin' stuff up. Some of it's right, some of it's wrong, but that doesn't make us any smarter.
(Feel free to quote me on that.)

| I doubt that anyone has actual seen a real alien. They have to exist ( or existed) because technically an alien could just be some bacteria on some other planet. Bacteria is extremely hardy since some lived even while most of the surface of earth was molten.

That is a good point bacteria are probably the absolute hardiest form of life on Earth as they mutate so freaking much, but keep in mind that the planet earth is mild compared to other planets, And was there really bacteria living IN molten rock or was that in the unmolten areas, please let me know cause I think that's absolutely awesome that it could live under those conditions.
Also, if you happen to know how us present time humans came up with that information, I'd like to know, because we tend to assume we know a good deal more about early Earth than we actually do, of course that applies to the present as well...
Don't ge me wrong though, I agree that if there is any extra terrestial life out there the one we'll most likely find would be some kind of bacteria-like thing.

| Meaning they're in the Matrix and we're not? Or did you mean the other way around?

I feel that there is definitely life on other planets. The universe is infinite, and because of that there would be an infinite number of other planets like earth. We are already planning trips to mars at the very moment. What kind of proof would people need to believe there is life on other planets. Obviously you wont believe it when someone else says they have seen extraterrestrial life and perhaps interacted with it.
I don't really understand how you can say that the chances of finding a planet with conditions like that on earth are slim, Unclever, what are you comparing too? In an infinite space, how can anything be rare. Sure maybe in our own solar system we can only observe life on earth, but does that mean we should assume that life would be just as rare in the rest of the universe just as in our tiny little solar system. Or even our tiny little galaxy.
I agree with Some G. So many people have claimed to see aliens, they couldn't all have been mistaken.
Since time has also been brought up I'll touch on that. Sure the human race is the only race that we know to be intelligent. However there is a trend in other forms of life on earth as species evolve. Through evolution other creatures have also been becoming more intelligent and more complex than before. Who's to say that other life will not evolve just as prime apes did and become intelligent within the next thousand years. Assuming that we don't exterminate every other creature that is not vital to our survival in that time period. Anyway my point is that perhaps it seems rare to find intelligent life because we are the first on earth.
Anyway I just wanted to get my point out there. I don't mean to be rude but I feel it is silly to assume that earth is probably the only place that harbors intelligent life.
The aliens took the blue pill
Yeh they did, and our rulers call them the devil. or just try to make us understand that they do not exist, biggest trick of the devil, so the rulers are the devil, for working together or just saying the devil is the devil and then saying it isnt like that cuz they do not exist.
And it is billions of ppl who encountered if u take it over the entire course of history. but still they keep saying we do not know anything about aliens. who's the dumbass ?
