dead man

ok here is a hard riddle for all of you:

there is a dead man on the cement. he is naked and is holding a match in is hand. how did he get there, how did he die, and why is he holding a match?

this guy, lets call him Bill, and his two friends decided to go in a hot air balloon. when they got on, it was too heavy to fly, so they started to throw things out of the balloon. as they threw each item out the hot air balloon got lighter and started going up higher. finally they had trown out everything, and they had even taken off their clothes, but the balloon still wouldn't fly. so one of the friends suggested to pick straw or in this case, matches. all the matches were different lengths, and before they picked matches they agreed that the one with the shortest match had to jump out of the balloon. so they all picked a match, and our man Bill happened to pick the shortest one. so he jumped out of the hot air balloon naked, and because the balloon was pretty high, he died when he landed.
