The Book (Hard Riddle)

A book is found in a closet of an abandon house. It says nothing but "PEOPLE DIE" Everyone who reads the third word in the book dies. But there is no third word.
How is this possible?

Note: There aren't any words on the front or back cover.
Hint: Think outside the box, or book in this case.

there is no third word because nobody can survive reading it to tell that it is there... I think.

because anyone who says it dies, therefore no one really knows waht the third word is until they read it at which point they die

no one dies BECAUSE they read the third word, they just die people die anyways (natural causes, insanity, ect...)

no one has read the book since the house has been abandoned, therefore no one reads the third word because they don't even know where the book is?

it says that everyone who read this book died and the only person that died is the author since he wrote the book. When he was thinking of the third word to write, he or she must have died before completeing or writing the word down on paper.

symppa got it, the author couldn't finish writing the third word in the book because he read it in his mind first

if the author died while writing it and the book in found in a closet...was the writer writing in the closet? if they are dead they could not have mouved it, if someone else found it and put it in there they would have looked at the book...?
